The current structure for Minswap DAO Governance can be seen in the Docs. As the Minswap DAO grows and evolves, the Governance structure must improve as well. This Proposal encompasses 3 measures to do exactly that:
- Restructure how a Proposal can get on chain: implementing a 3-Step process consisting of 1) Temperature Check Discussion, 2) Temperature Check Poll and 3) On-chain Proposal. More details around this process and guiding principles can be found in the following document.
- Restructure rules around the Quorum. The Quorum is to be dynamic and change according to circulating supply. It is to be increased from 5% to 8% given the increase in circulating supply since the Quorum was first established and initiatives such as the MIN Burn.
- Community Managers (CM) compensation and responsibilities: CM responsibilities include providing direct assistance to users in tickets, escalating issues to Minswap Labs, moderating the Discord and Forum, and much more. Compensation is to have a range from 300$ a month to 100$ (depending on performance) a month paid half in MIN and half in ADA. There are 5 CMs that qualify for this program, but they may be removed and substituted by Minswap Labs if it is deemed they aren’t performing to the best standard.
